ASTI Environmental has an opening for a part- or full-time, skilled, detail-oriented, well-organized Hydrogeologist with more than four (4) years’ experience in environmental consulting.  We are looking for a mid- or senior-level scientist with experience designing aquifer slug and pumping tests to obtain and evaluate hydrogeological data. Recent experience with groundwater modeling is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Project or task management for our Property Services Group
  • Supervising typical projects, including Phase II Environmental Site Assesments (ESAs) and groundwater investigations
  • Data design, validation, evaluation, and reporting
  • Preparing and reviewing proposals
  • Providing technical review on groundwater investigations
  • Problem solving and solution recommendations

Qualifications

  • At least four (4) years’ experience in designing, reviewing, and reporting hydrogeological investigations using latest software and best practices, required
  • Groundwater modeling proficiency, preferred
  • Experience with the environmental due diligence process, preferred
  • Working knowledge of Michigan’s Part 201 rules and regulations, preferred
  • Involvement working closely with Michigan EGLE, preferred
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree, or equivalent, required
